sun breaks over the eucalyptus
grove below the wet pasture,
water’s about hot,
I sit in the open window
& roll a smoke.

It’s not too good to be over analytical about your own creativity. The only analysis necessary is to do your work and do it as well as you can.
That’s about it. Self-motivation may not even be necessary if you work from habit; if everything that you see, hear, or feel is fodder for your work. If the sun cuts rays through mists in the branches of the eucalyptus at 7:30 a.m. and the pasture is wet; if the water’s ready for your coffee or tea and if you are rolling a cigarette, it’s all fodder for you to say what you need to say.
